Court decision on theft and drug trafficking
Court proved the guilt of a woman sentenced for stealing a smartphone, which she took from a hotel where a visitor left it unattended, except in cases of drug crimes.
The woman was arrested by law enforcement officers on June 27 last year in Khmelnytskyi after seizing a large package of synthetic drug mephedrone from her. She was ordering drugs through a Telegram channel and packaging them for sale.
Recently, the court completed the trial and found the woman guilty of theft under Art. 185, part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and illegal drug trafficking under Art. 307, parts 2 and 3 on a particularly large scale. She was sentenced to 8 years in prison with property confiscation, except for housing.
