Another Sentence for Domestic Violence
Slavsk resident Vasyl Z. has once again been sent to prison for abusing his wife and stepson, who has a second-degree disability. The Skole District Court in Lviv Oblast found the man guilty, who had previously spent a year in prison. After being released, Vasyl Z. continued to mistreat his wife and her son.
History of Abuse
According to the case materials, the accused was brought to administrative responsibility three times for threats and psychological violence against his wife, who has a first-degree disability. In December 2023, the court imposed a restraining order, but Vasyl Z. ignored it, attempting to evict the woman from their new home.
Verdict and Appeal
During the court hearing, Vasyl Z. admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions, but the court decided to sentence him to one year, one month, and 15 days in prison. The verdict can be appealed in the appellate procedure.
