The all-Ukrainian Sambo Tournament Honoring Vahid Sabirov
The all-Ukrainian sambo tournament in honor of the prominent wrestler Vahid Sabirov took place at the «Olympiets» sports complex. Over 130 participants from different parts of Ukraine competed for victory.
A Celebration of Sportsmanship and Talent
The event was opened with a performance by the orchestra of the 11th brigade of the National Guard named after Hrushevsky, and the athletes demonstrated exhibition performances.
Recognition of Excellence
Among the attendees of the event were high-ranking officials, including Member of Parliament Alexei Leonov.
«We have gathered here to honor a great athlete, a great coach, and a true patriot Vahid Sabirov. He has done a lot for the development of sambo in our region and the popularization of sports throughout Ukraine. He has raised a galaxy of athletes who demonstrate love for their homeland, bring glory to it at international competitions, and educate the next generation in this spirit,» Leonov said.
