Ukrainian Troops Preparing New Defensive Line near Kharkiv
Ukrainian troops are hard at work constructing a new defensive line near Kharkiv, despite the lack of construction equipment. The line, located approximately four hours’ drive along a dirt road from the city, is being prepared in anticipation of a possible offensive by Russian forces in the coming weeks or months.
Constant Shelling and Airstrikes
These trenches, situated just 10 km from the border, are under constant shelling and airstrikes. According to Paul Ronzheimer, deputy editor-in-chief of BILD, Kharkiv is of strategic importance to Russia, making it a potential target for attacks in order to sow panic and force local residents to flee.
