Robbery Attack in Kyiv: Woman Sprayed with Tear Gas and Millions Stolen
In Kyiv, criminals carried out a robbery attack in which a woman was sprayed with tear gas in the face, and then 3 million hryvnias were stolen from her. Four men have been suspected of committing this crime.
According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, the incident took place in the Pechersk district. The joint criminal action occurred during a crucial period for the military state, when four men took on the task of stealing a significant amount of cash that the woman was transporting.
Two of the group members, who appeared to be dressed as military personnel in camouflage, ambushed the woman near her home. They used tear gas to take two black bags containing 3 million hryvnias and then fled in a car.
Later, the criminals met with other accomplices and transferred to their car, disposing of the stolen money at their discretion.
All the participants in the robbery, aged 27 and 38 from Kherson region, and 31 and 35 from Luhansk region, have been detained. At the request of investigators, the court ordered them to be held in custody as a preventive measure. They face up to 15 years in prison, with property confiscation.
The incident remains under thorough investigation by law enforcement agencies in Kyiv.
