Ukrainians can now check for fines for untimely military data update through the «Diia» app
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmytro Lazutkin, citizens can now use the «Diia» application to find out about fines for not updating their military registration data on time.
Lazutkin clarified that not everyone who missed the deadline of July 16 will automatically receive a fine. The process of holding individuals accountable for administrative offenses can take anywhere from three months to a year.
«We are not stating that fines will be automatically imposed on everyone. The investigation process for an administrative offense can take several months to a year. The issuance of fines follows a specific procedure, so not updating data today does not guarantee an immediate fine,» Lazutkin explained.
He further highlighted that the procedure for fines will resemble how individuals are informed of speeding fines through the «Diia» app.
