OnePlus Open 2 with 6000 mAh Battery Could be Released in 2025

OnePlus Open 2 Foldable Phone Delayed Until 2025, OPPO and vivo Launching Large Foldable Phones

According to the latest information from insider Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming OnePlus Open 2 foldable phone may not hit the market until 2025.

Digital Chat Station revealed that OPPO and vivo are working on large foldable phones that could debut in the first quarter of 2025 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. Previous rumors hinted at the OPPO Find N5, and the informant confirms that the devices will have a 6000mAh battery.

However, the OnePlus Open 2, believed to be launched under the name OPPO Find N5 outside of China, might also make an appearance in 2025, according to the leaks.

The upgraded OnePlus Open 2 with a 6000mAh battery will be a significant improvement over the original model with a 4805mAh battery and surpass the OnePlus 12’s 5400mAh battery. This enhancement is particularly convenient for users who spend a lot of time using the foldable screen.

In line with the company’s strategy, the larger battery of the OnePlus Open 2 corresponds to the recently introduced Glacier Battery technology, which uses silicon-based batteries to increase capacity while maintaining physical size. The first phone to feature this technology was the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro with a 6100mAh battery.

Additionally, Digital Chat Station also confirmed that HUAWEI is working on three foldable phones with a double hinge, using the Kirin 9 series chipset and new technologies.
