Military conscripts face fines for not updating their data

Important Update Regarding Military Records

By July 16, all conscripts are required to update their military records. Fines ranging from 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnias are provided for violations of this requirement, as reported by 24 Channel.

Iryna Harbuz, a representative of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, explained that a fine may be imposed for each failure to update data. The procedure for issuing fines will be carried out by employees of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC) and the Draft Board (DB).

In case of a fine for failure to update military data, the conscript has the right to appeal the decision in court within 10 days. Lawyers note that a person cannot be held administratively liable again for failure to update military data.

If the fine for failure to update military records is not paid, the case may be transferred to the executive authorities. This can lead to the seizure of the debtor’s property or the freezing of their bank accounts.
