Today, at around four in the morning, law enforcement agencies received a report of fireworks being launched by an unknown person on Virmenska Street, thereby violating the ban in place under martial law. This was reported by the police in Kyiv.
The police confiscated the fireworks launcher and, after further investigative actions, identified a suspect, who turned out to be a resident of a nearby building. The 25-year-old man, born in Donetsk, confessed to his actions, explaining that he did it out of a desire to have some fun.
Law enforcement officials have charged the suspect under Article 296 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism. According to this law, the offender faces up to five years of imprisonment.
