Unauthorized Dump Site Discovered in Horodok Urban Hromada
State environmental inspectors in the Lviv region have discovered an unauthorized dump site on the territory of the Horodok urban hromada. This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate.
The dump site is located near a bridge on the Horodok-Shehyni highway and covers an area of approximately 25 square meters. Inspectors found solid household waste, broken slate, construction materials, old household appliances, and dry branches at the site.
«This dump site does not have the necessary permits, meaning there is no passport allowing residents of the city to dispose of waste and other refuse on this land plot,» noted the State Environmental Inspectorate.
The environmental service emphasized that the illegal dump site harms the surrounding environment by polluting the soil, water, and air, as well as posing health risks to people and affecting the aesthetic appearance of the city. Therefore, inspectors have addressed a letter to the Horodok city council calling for the removal of the dump site.
