Since the beginning of the current year, the budget of Kharkiv has already spent 700 thousand hryvnias on the organization and conduct of matches of the futsal team, which operates as part of the municipal enterprise «Municipal Sports Club Kharkiv», created at the end of 2021.

This was reported by the «Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center» with reference to the Unified Portal of Public Funds.
It is noted that the majority of the funds were allocated to two individual entrepreneurs who constantly receive contracts for organizing matches and training sessions for this team. These are Alexey Alexandrovich Mazhuga and Yekaterina Nikolaevna Kocherova.
«In total, Mazhuga received contracts from the municipal club for 5.78 million hryvnias, and Kocherova — for 6.1 million. In addition, Mazhuga has now won a tender for 1.359 million hryvnias for organizing sports training events and camps for the preparation of sports teams of the Municipal Sports Club «Kharkiv» to participate in city, district and regional futsal, football and futsal competitions. Another tender with a similar name for 1.5 million hryvnias was won by individual entrepreneur Gennadiy Yevgenovich Lysenko,» activists report.
Creation and Expenditure
It is noted that the futsal team was practically created during the full-scale invasion. In 2022, approximately 7 million hryvnias were spent from the budget of Kharkiv to maintain it, and in 2023, this amount increased. Currently, the Municipal Sports Club «Kharkiv» occupies the eighth place out of ten in the VBET Extra League season 23/24.
