Undeclared Goods Discovered at Krakovets-Korchova Checkpoint
On July 2nd, at the Krakovets-Korchova checkpoint, a Ukrainian citizen attempted to import a significant amount of clothing and footwear into Ukraine without proper declaration, as reported by the Lviv customs office.
Customs officials discovered undeclared goods in a DAF truck, including 3627 pairs of sneakers from Vietnam and 120 women’s jackets, with an estimated value of 6.7 million UAH. The truck, which was supposed to be carrying goods of Chinese origin, also contained bags, backpacks, toys, watches, and shoes.
The documents indicated that a Ukrainian company was the recipient of the cargo, weighing 10,650 kg, with a Hungarian firm listed as the seller. It was revealed that the director of the Hungarian company attempted to hide part of the cargo from customs officials, resulting in a protocol being drawn up regarding the evasion of customs control during the movement of goods across the border.
