Criminal case opened against Pavlo Kirilenko

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) have taken legal action against the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko

The SAP and NABU have initiated a criminal case against Pavlo Kyrylenko for charges of «illegal enrichment» and «declaration of unreliable information.» This action comes following an investigation by journalists from the «Schemes» project (Radio Liberty), which revealed that relatives of Kyrylenko’s wife acquired «elite property» inconsistent with their income.

«On March 22, 2024, information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations about the commission of criminal offenses under articles 366-2 and 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,» the SAP statement confirmed.

The SAP also stated that NABU detectives are conducting the pre-trial investigation into this matter.

The investigative journalists from «Schemes» reported that relatives of Pavlo Kyrylenko own «elite property» valued at 70 million hryvnias, including a house in the Kyiv region, apartments in Uzhgorod, and undisclosed property in the capital.
