The Eastern Appellate Commercial Court Upholds Decision to Terminate Lease Agreement
The Eastern Appellate Commercial Court has upheld the decision of the Poltava Region Economic Court regarding the termination of the lease agreement for a forest land plot. The decision satisfied the claim of the Reshetylivska District Prosecutor’s Office. The press service of the Poltava Region Prosecutor’s Office reported that the agricultural farm «S.G.M.» is obliged to return 629 hectares of forest land to the Reshetylivska territorial community.
Farm Must Return 629 Hectares of Forest Land
This forest land plot, worth almost 270 million hryvnias, was leased for 25 years by the Reshetylivska District State Administration in 2006. However, the farm, violating the terms of the agreement, carried out logging of dry and wet trees, causing losses to the state in the amount of over 18 million hryvnias.
Therefore, the court determined that the farm «S.G.M.» must return the land plot to the Reshetylivska community.
