A man and a woman on trial for forcing a woman into providing sexual services
A man and a woman who used physical violence against a 23-year-old woman from Poltava region and forced her to provide sexual services will be on trial in Kyiv.
According to the press service of the capital police, the suspects are facing up to 12 years in prison with property confiscation.
Preliminary data shows that the accused, both aged 20, met the victim two years ago and imposed a forced regime on her to make her provide sexual services. The woman posted advertisements online, while the man rented apartments for the crime and managed the finances.
During the searches at their place of residence, law enforcement officers seized documents and bank cards of the victim, confirming the abuse and possible criminal activity.
Before the court decision becomes final, the suspects remain in custody.
