Financial fraud at Zaporizhzhia hospital: healthcare workers received payment without providing services

The Zaporizhzhia City Emergency and Ambulance Hospital

The Zaporizhzhia City Emergency and Ambulance Hospital received almost 3.5 million hryvnias in funding from the National Health Service of Ukraine last year for services that were not actually provided to the population. This information was revealed from the Registry of Court Decisions.

Investigation into False Information and Illegal Actions

During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that the hospital had signed a contract with the NHU for the package of services «Stationary palliative medical care for adults and children», although in reality the palliative care department is non-existent.

According to reports and data from the Helsi system, in 2023, hospital staff submitted false information about medical services provided to the population. The investigation is ongoing, searches have been conducted, and documentary evidence has been seized.

Previously, illegal actions were uncovered in a dental clinic in Zaporizhzhia, where illegal contracts were signed for the purchase of medical goods for a significant amount.
