Farmers in Donetsk Region Receive Spring Wheat Seeds from International Partners
Farmers in Donetsk region have recently received spring wheat seeds from international partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO). This initiative was reported by the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Starting from April 5, agricultural producers in Donetsk have begun receiving spring wheat seeds as part of the project «Supporting food security and livelihoods for conflict-affected smallholder farmers in Donetsk region,» initiated by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Participating in the program are farm households and private agricultural producers in the region cultivating up to 500 hectares of land and located 50-70 km from the front line. They were selected through the State Agricultural Register. In total, 56 participants will receive 300 tons of seeds to support their farming activities.
