Zelensky has tasked diplomats with engaging partners to acquire new air defense systems for the region. Emphasizing the importance of bolstering defense capabilities, the President’s Office reported a commitment to enhancing the security infrastructure in Kharkiv.
Rebuilding Energy Infrastructure
Officials at the meeting, including the head of the Regional State Administration and the Minister of Energy, discussed the impact of Russian shelling on energy infrastructure in Kharkiv. Plans were made to restore electricity production and address the challenges faced by the energy sector in the region.
Support for Reconstruction
During his visit, President Zelensky inspected the construction of defensive structures, expressing readiness to allocate funds for bomb shelters and fuel costs for generators. These measures are crucial in light of the recent attacks on civilian targets, causing casualties and injuries among the population.
