Doctors from the pediatric neurosurgery department of Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lviv have performed a rare operation to help four-year-old Rachel Gribben from Northern Ireland, who was suffering from severe epileptic seizures.
Under the guidance of neurosurgeon Mykhailo Lovyi, a team of specialists remotely removed part of the brain hemisphere responsible for the seizures, saving the girl from danger and aiding in her development.
