Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov supports rescue units
Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov recently visited a fire and rescue unit to inspect the equipment and gear provided with the city’s support. Thanks to contributions from the city, the relevant ministry, and international partners, the rescue arsenal includes a variety of specialized vehicles and tools.
«Dnipro is proud to be a leader in supporting rescuers in 2023. We will continue to assist our emergency personnel, who are on the front line of defense,» emphasized Filatov during the visit.
The fire and rescue arsenal features equipment such as the «Bohdan» amphibious vehicle, a wrecker, water tankers, specialized vehicles for radiation and chemical reconnaissance, a mobile generator-light vehicle, and a mobile operational group transport. Additionally, the arsenal includes a mobile command post, a mobile kitchen, fire ladders, and a unique German-made fire ladder of 62 meters, acquired in 2023 to improve rescue operations and firefighting efforts in Dnipro.
Yuriy Koretsky, the head of the State Emergency Service Department in Dnipropetrovsk region, commended the city for its support in providing essential equipment, including diving gear that will further enhance the capabilities of the rescue units.
