The fitness coach of the Odessa football club «Chornomorets» leaves the team
The fitness coach of the Odessa football club «Chornomorets», Ihor Kasyanenko, has left Ukraine, taking advantage of the team’s training camp in Turkey.
Having left abroad with the sailors at the beginning of January, he did not return to his homeland, but headed to the USA. According to unofficial information, he settled in Miami with his family.
Kasyanenko is a native of Luhansk who joined Roman Grygorchuk’s coaching staff at the beginning of 2022.
Sources within the team confirmed Kasyanenko’s escape, promising to provide details later. An investigation is currently underway.
Chornomorets stated that the coach had been with the team throughout the training camp but did not show up at the Antalya airport when the team was flying back home.
«His ticket was purchased, but he was not on the plane at the time of departure,» the club reported. «The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has been informed about this incident. The management of FC Chornomorets condemns the actions of its former representative. However, there is no way to influence this decision, although an attempt at dialogue from the club’s side was met with an inappropriate response from this individual.»
The management of FC Chornomorets has already initiated the process of revoking Kasyanenko’s coaching license.
