Most of the bridges in Kyiv are in a critical condition, and some of them may collapse, said the head and founder of the Office of Transformation Maxim Bahmatov.
«The Metro Bridge is in a critical condition, the Paton Bridge as well, and the Southern Bridge too. The Paton Bridge and the Metro Bridge are at a crisis level of emergency. They are no longer safe to use. So if you are crossing these bridges, be cautious — they may collapse,»
he emphasized in an interview with «We are Ukraine».
According to Bahmatov, this is a formal notification from technical experts. He added that the Ministry of Infrastructure, together with the National Security and Defense Council, conducted a study of all the key highways and communications in Kyiv and «presented a very specific and very truthful report».
«90% of the bridges in Kyiv are in a crisis condition. The level of emergency is from 4 to 5,» he stressed.
