Zelensky expresses sorrow over the tragedy in Kharkiv: «Russian terror will not go unpunished»

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Reacts to the Tragic Loss of Innocent Lives in Kharkiv

«The reality always speaks more than any words. Last night, due to a fire after the ‘Shahed’ strikes in Kharkiv, a whole family perished: parents and three children. The oldest son, Oleksiy, was 7 years old, the middle one, Mykhailo, was 4 years old, and the youngest, Pavlo, was only 7 months old. Children who did not have a chance to see life were killed because of Russian madness. Another family, a husband and wife, also perished,» the president wrote on Telegram.

Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to all the relatives and loved ones of the deceased. He also informed that the rescue operation at the strike site in Kharkiv is ongoing.

«Four people have been rescued, including one child. Dozens of people have been evacuated. All necessary services are involved, and everyone who has suffered will be provided with the necessary assistance,» the head of state said.

The president thanked everyone who supports Ukraine and Ukrainians in defense against Russian terror.

«Every show of support is critically important. And it is equally important to understand that terror cannot go unpunished. Terror cannot go unanswered. Terrorists must lose this war they started. Russia must be held accountable for every destroyed and ruined life. Only in this way will security for all become a reality again,» the president emphasized.
