Development of a super small and inexpensive anti-drone missile has begun in Spain. This missile is designed to destroy drones and is of great interest to Ukraine, as Russian «Shahed» drones are currently being used to deplete expensive air defense missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to information from the Infodefensa portal, the development of the mini anti-aircraft missile is still in the early stages. It is expected that the missile will have a body length of 90 centimeters and a launch mass of 3 kilograms. The missile’s range will be 4 kilometers when launched in «air-to-surface» mode.
The warhead is planned to be equipped with fragmentation-explosive material, although the weight of the warhead itself is currently unknown. The missile’s navigation will be carried out using an inertial system and laser targeting.
